A Revolutionary Product for Arthritis Pain Relief

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

Arcoxia is a revolutionary product. It is an anti-inflammatory drug which enables superior pain and swelling management for patients with gout, arthritis, spondylitis and muscular or skeletal pain.

About Arcoxia

This drug mainly inhibits some enzyme secretions that play a crucial role in pain and swelling of joints. Many anti-inflammatory drugs have the unfortunate side effects of stomach ailments but Arcoxia carries a much lower risk of such conditions.

Arcoxia is therefore suitable for long term treatment based on the fact that a thorough analysis of the patient’s medical history be taken. Your doctor will no doubt advise you to take this drug with food or milk to avoid or reduce potential digestive problems. Also be sure to eat regularly whilst taking Arcoxia.

For best results, please adhere to the dosage recommended by your doctor and take Arcoxia at the same time every day. For example, during acute gout attacks, your doctor may allow you to take a very high dosage, but only until the relief is evident. This must be monitored by your doctor.

Further facts

Heart problems such as angina, arterial blockages and heart attacks may prove incompatible with Arcoxia medication. This could include angina, arterial blockages and heart attacks. If you are allergic to aspirin or to other anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen, Arxocia is not recommended. Please inform your doctor of such facts before commencing treatment.

Arcoxia treatment should not be started if you have an infection or you are undergoing some form of treatment for it. Otherwise Arcoxia may hide the symptoms specific to the infection so please wait until you no longer have the infection or it is under control before going ahead with Arcoxia. It is imperative that your doctor complete a general body checkup in order to access whether to use Arcoxia. This is because undetected side effects may manifest, including hypertension, liver dysfunctions, digestive sensitivity and even high cholesterol.

Dog Flu: What To Do

Friday, July 30th, 2010

So it appears to me that it is fair to say that we have a partial outbreak of Dog Flu in the United States, the question is, how do we put a stop to it? Aside from prophylaxis (prevention) which we are not even sure we can say we know how to properly administer, what do we do in order to keep ourselves safe from the condition? “There is no evidence that it can infect people,” said Dr. Ruben Donis of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, who has published a report on the new virus in the journal Science. This said, how can he be sure of this based on the short time that the Canine strain has been prevalent?”

Health experts in the animal field know this strain of virus as an equine strain of flu that has been in circulation for the last 40 years. The troubling question that nobody knows the answer to as of yet is how this flu strain mutated in dogs being what was originally thought of as a specific horse flu?

Being that this is a relatively new strain of flu, health experts can not say for sure if we humans are at risk due to the lack of exposure that we have had to this specific flu strain: however the odds are very unlikely due to the fact that throughout time, not one person has become infected while handling a horse that had the virus.

As a dog owner it is hard to know what to do. Do we shelter our dogs remanding them to a life of indoor living, or do we continue on treating them the same way we do now? Health experts will say to do the latter, however is that their way of trying to defuse the situation, I can not say for sure.

Natural Arthritis Pain Relief – Glucosamine & Chondroitin

Friday, July 30th, 2010

Those currently taking a glucosamine and chondroitin supplement for natural arthritis pain relief may be unaware of the startling fact that it’s simply not enough. There is a special supplement, called Flex Protex, which recent studies have proven to be 62 percent more effective at soothing pain and stiffness. This award-winning supplement, devised by the pioneer Patty McPeak, is even suspected by scientists to help break down excess bone growth and augment fluid in the joint spaces. Those are the two major culprits for arthritis.

The secret to Mcpeak’s natural arthritis pain relief supplement is that it contains clinical strength glucosamine and chondroitin, plus a special mix of essential amino acids that your body needs whenever it undergoes major healing. These amino acids are plant derived and completely safe. They are the exact same aminos present in the food you eat every day – just in higher quantities and correctly balanced to promote healing.

Amino acids are found in all living things and are often called the building blocks of life because they are fundamental in cell protein biosynthesis. Bones, joints, organs and other body tissues cannot grow properly without the right balance of amino acids. When there is an amino acid deficiency some of the processes that restrict unhealthy bone growth are hampered significantly leading to bone overgrowth in the joints.

This explains why McPeak’s formula is so beneficial in natural arthritis pain relief : it reverses precisely this sequence of events that are the culprit in arthritis formation. In addition, when the body has an adequate amino balance, bone overgrowth will not happen again. Therefore, Mcpeak’s formula both cures and prevents arthritic overgrowth.

Let’s revisit glucosamine and chondroitin. You might already be taking these supplements. Both glucosamine and chondroitin are amino acids. It’s true that studies have found both of these aminos to be good for healing cartilage in arthritic joints. They’ve been found both safe and effective. But it’s also been found in an American Arthritis Foundation (AAF) study that these aminos need the correct combination of other amino acids in order to function correctly.

Amino acids such as Lysine, Glutamine, and Serine are combined with glucosamine and chondroitin to increase their effectiveness. These can be difficult to obtain in the necessary quantities when simply using a healthy diet, but are found in abundance in Mcpeak’s formula. Don’t trust just any supplement to effectively treat your arthritis pain.

Gout Medication – Will it Help?

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

Gout medication may help reduce the pain that you are feeling, but it is important that you understand gout medicine before you start popping the pills. This article is going to focus on the three main reasons gout medications are used.

The first reason that gout medication is used is to relieve the pain that comes from the inflamed joint. Doctors usually suggest that a person take over the counter medications such as Tylenol. The only type of pain relief medication you should avoid is aspirin.

The second reason doctors suggest using medication for gout is to reduce joint inflammation. The joints that are affected by the uric acid crystals become very inflamed and swollen. Usually a patient will start by taking an over the counter pill with anti-inflammatory ingredients such as Advil and ibueprofen. If the other the counter medication is not enough, a doctor may instead prescribe a stronger medication.

The third reason a person may begin taking medication for gout, is to reduce the levels of uric acid in the body. These medications are prescription only, and they may not be the right choice for everyone.

There are a few prescription medications that work in other ways to lower the uric acid levels in the body, or other processes to help relieve gout symptoms. Some of these medications include: Allopurinol, Sulfinpyrazone, Febuxostat, and Probenecid. If you are considering using gout medication to treat you symptoms, you should always talk to your doctor first to see what is right for your individual situation.

Arthritis Cripples Older Dogs

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

It’s a sad fact, but many people who look into the eyes of their faithful old dogs don’t realize that their pets are suffering inside from the pains of arthritis. They just aren’t able to tell you, so you need to watch for the signs. Have you noticed him slowing down from his younger frantic pace? Does he pass on the active play he used to love? It just could be that he’s suffering from the very common doggie malady, arthritis. Larger dogs are more prone to get arthritis, and it’s more likely to debilitate them than it is smaller dogs. However, any dog can get it.

Dogs experience the same progression of arthritis that people do. It starts with mild pain and swelling and then worsens over time. The joints are inflamed, and the cushions that once padded them have been destroyed. At this point, it’s become a challenge for your dog to get around at all. He also suffers from damaged nerve endings which exacerbate his pain. He wants to frolic and play with you like always, but he isn’t able to any longer.

Helping Your Dog Cope with Arthritis

It’s sad to see your loving friend deteriorating before your eyes. With arthritis he’s sleeping a lot more and likes to just lay and watch you rather than joining in playtime. As he experiences more and more pain, the more he will balk at any form of movement. The stairs he used to scramble up and down so madly won’t even tempt him now.

If your dog is suffering from arthritis, he won’t be able to do a lot of the things he used to do. If you want to take him for a ride, you’ll have to lift him into the car, because he can’t make the jump any more. You find that you’re doing more and more for him. That means you should be taking him to the vet for a check up. Your vet will be able to diagnose his problems and make suggestions for treatment.

Taking Care of your Dog’s Arthritis

You’ll be glad to know that there are measures your vet can take to make your dog feel better. He can prescribe medications that work to relieve pain and swelling. No medication will reverse the damage that’s already been done, but your pet will feel better, although he may experience side effects. Some pet medications come with a hefty price tag, but isn’t the comfort of your baby worth it to you?

It’s difficult seeing a beloved pet suffer the infirmities of old age. Your vet will be able to give you advice on how to make your dog feel as comfortable as possible. It’s hard to accept that because of his shorter life expectancy, your dog has reached old age many years before you.

Arthritis And The Joints That Refuse To Move

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

A thief steals your possessions just as arthritis steals
your joint mobility. Generally referring to inflammation
throughout the body’s joints, the word arthritis refers to a
compilation of over 100 different types of arthritis and not
just one single condition.

Known as rheumatic diseases, arthritis and its cousin
diseases can invade the body and destroy your health. It
can rob you of your mobility and your ability to enjoy basic
daily activities.

Arthritis causes the joints and surrounding structures, such
as tendons and muscles to become horribly inflamed which
leads to pain. Your body’s natural reaction to an injury or
illness is to respond with inflammation. With this
protective response, your body can respond with pain,
swelling and redness in the joints.

Of all of the different types of arthritis, the root cause
varies among them all. But the one thing most often found
to be in common is the fact that arthritis often attacks the
muscles, the joints and the connective tissues of the body.
Another interesting battle of arthritis is that this disease
moves from exacerbation to quiet and then back again. It is
one of the frustrating parts of this condition. One day you
are living quietly with the disease seemingly under control
and then the next day, you are battling raging joint pain
that stalks you like a nighttime intruder.

With arthritis, it is important to remember that you do not
need to give up just because of this diagnosis. It is a
known fact that you are going to have to be vigilant to
maintain the highest level of health possible, but with
active life style management you have a shot at reaching
that goal.

Don’t settle for less than the best life that you can live
even if you have been diagnosed with arthritis. Many
diagnosed enjoy a full and active life after making some
adjustments and adaptations to life.

While there are many arthritis resources available to assist
you, the Arthritis Foundation is one of the best available
on today’s market. Designed to provide you with the tools
and resources you need to better manage your arthritis and
your life, the Arthritis Foundation is such a valuable
resource to anyone fighting arthritis.

Yes, there is not currently a known cure for arthritis, but
there are definitely better treatment options available on
today’s market. Researchers continue to search for the
precise reason why arthritis develops in the first place as
well as continuing to search for even more improved
treatment options for those currently battling the disease.

While it may seem that arthritis is a dirty rotten scoundrel
invading your life and taking control, the fact is that with
today’s medical advances and your decision to actively
manage your life and condition will give you a leg up on
taking back control of your life.

So make a decision today to get more involved in your
treatment plan. Show arthritis who is in charge!

Dogs Suffer the Same as People From Arthritis Pain

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

The incidence of arthritis does not just concern humans but dogs as well. Dogs may suffer from a range of types such as immune-mediated arthritis, infective arthritis, idiopathic arthritis, and osteoarthritis. The last one is the more prevalent type of arthritis that affects dogs.

How to detect arthritis in dogs

Since dogs do not possess the kind of communication that humans, actions speak louder than words. All they can do is manifest their feelings, especially pain, through changes in their behavior.

Arthritis pain in dogs is indicated by lameness and decreased energy and activity in dogs. Lameness may be caused by swollen or inflamed joints which hinder dogs from performing as they used to. You will observe that your dog will be less inclined and more reluctant to go for walks, fetch things, and even respond to your calls. If your pet has a hard time getting up, or gets up slowly, they may be fighting pain. Osteoarthritis lessens their fervor and minimizes movement and activity.

What causes arthritis in dogs?

The causes of arthritis in dogs are very much the same as those that bring about human arthritis. Osteoarthritis in dogs is frequently caused by the everyday wear and tear of the joints dues to strenuous activities. Traumatic injuries such as the tearing of a ligament or tendon cause osteoarthritis as well and may result to further joint instability. Apart from these, weight problems have also been found to contribute in the incidence of arthritis in dogs because excess pounds apply more pressure to the cartilages that absorb the weight in the joints.

Genetics also play a role in the occurrence of arthritis in dogs. As in the case of hip dysplasia, joints in the hips are weak and unstable due to a genetic problem. In addition, proper bone development in young dogs causes the gradual progress of arthritis.

What can be done?

As in every case of arthritis, diagnosis is important. A dog that is suspected to be suffering from osteoarthritis must be observed by a veterinarian immediately so as to determine an effective treatment for the arthritis.

Most people treat arthritis pain in dogs as they would treat arthritis in humans. It is because treatment for both cases is usually similar. However, they differ in some ways. First of all, aspirins will not work on dogs primarily because they have a different digestive mechanism. At best, their bodies will be neutral to the effects of aspirin and at worse, they can react negatively and incur mild to serious health problems ranging from mild gastrointestinal problems to diarrhea to gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcer, and perforations. NSAIDs or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are also sometimes used to bring pain relief and rehabilitate damaged joints that cause arthritis in dogs. However, these should be properly monitored by a trusted and credible veterinarian because side effects may be similar to those of painkillers.

In severe cases of osteoarthritis, especially those that result from a misshapen joint or a severely damaged joint, surgery is often conducted to correct the condition.

Are there alternative treatments?

One treatment becoming more and more recommended by Veterinarians is glucosamine chondroitin. Products like liquid formula Synflex for Pets are becoming very popular and quite successful in alleviating the symptoms and pain associated with joint problems in pets. Synflex for Pets, in its liquid form, makes administering and dosing very simple. The daily cost compared to prescribed drugs is much less in cost and the Syn-flex formula goes directly to the problem, aiding in cartilage repair to alleviate the pain. If your dog or any other pet is suffering the signs of arthritis, Syn-flex for Pets is a good choice. You can learn more of this break through product here at http://www.syn-flex-usa.com/

Important Facts About Bladder Cancer

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

The bladder is a hollow organ lying within pelvis, which collects urine from the kidneys via tubes called ureters and stores it until it is full enough to empty through the urethra.

Bladder cancer is any type of malignant growth in the bladder. There are two main types – superficial and invasive. The superficial tumours, sometimes known as bladder warts, do not spread and are fairly easily treated. Invasive tumours, which have spread beyond the bladder walls, have a poorer prognosis.

Bladder cancer is more common in men, especially those over the age of sixty years. Cigarette smoking is known to be a major risk factor and accounts for about 60% of all new cases. Other risk factors include exposure to chemicals as used in certain industries. Women who have regularly used permanent hair dyes are at greater risk of developing the condition, as are hairdressers. The exact causes however remain unknown and research continues.

The symptoms of bladder malignancy may include blood in the urine, also known as haematuria, and pain or frequency passing urine. These symptoms, however, are not specific and could well be related to other conditions such as urinary tract infections or kidney stones. If you notice blood in your water it is important that you see your doctor as soon as possible for some diagnostic tests. But please do not panic as the blood may be from an entirely benign source. Haematuria does not always indicate bladder cancer but must be checked out.

To diagnose the problem the doctor will take a full medical history, do a physical examination and send a specimen of urine away for testing. Depending on the results the next step may be a cystoscopy, which is a simple procedure, using a fibre-optic tube with a light source attached to inspect the inside of the bladder. The scope is passed into the bladder via the urethra. If any abnormal areas or growths are noted cells can be taken for further examination to see whether they are cancerous or not.

If cancer is diagnosed the next step is to determine whether it is localised or has spread from it’s original location.

Treatment is by surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy. The type of cancer, age and general health of the patient will determine which treatment or combination of treatments is used.

Early diagnosis always improves the outcome. If you experience any of the above symptoms please seek immediate medical help. If you notice blood in your urine report it to your doctor so that it can be investigated and any appropriate treatment started.

If you have been diagnosed as having a bladder cancer you will need to attend for regular check ups so the condition can be monitored.

People who smoke 20 cigarettes a day for 10 years have double the risk of developing bladder cancer compared with non-smokers. If you stop smoking the risk is reduced. If you have been diagnosed with superficial bladder cancer and are a smoker, stopping smoking will greatly reduce the risk of any recurrence.

Breast Cancer – Reverse and Prevent Breast Cancer Using the Food Matters Nutrition Program

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

The Food Matters Cancer Learning Program made sense to me as soon as I listened to the first 23.5 FREE minutes of its video program. It talks about the anti-oxidants that come from fruits and vegetables, and explains why this is all you need to do to reverse cancer of any form.

Breast cancer starts from malignancy. That is a chunk of cancer cells accumulating in the chest cavity and spreading. So what do you do? You eat right! You stop completely all that chips, red meat, processed food, too much salt, any deep fried food, pizzas, take away and so on. You start cooking at home with fresh ingredients you buy at the super market. you start making your self a lot of vegetable juice, fruit juice and eat fresh salads. Sprout your own at home, or buy sprouts at the store. And more

Why Do I Tell You All That?

The condition of our body is determine by what we eat and who we are. A person who lives life instantly will probably suffer a chronic disease. Instantly means going to the store and buying a pre-made meal, take away, chips, or what ever instant food may be. You do not know how they cooked it, how clean their commercial kitchen is, what are (really) their hygiene regulations and do they actually follow it, when did they last changed the oil they cook in, is it the right oil for cooking?

How Food Can Cause Cancer:

Cancer starts from free radicals. Breast cancer or any other type of cancer stems from free radicals entering our body. They are every where. The air we breath has oxygen in it. Oxygen will oxidize our body, it brings free radicals into it. Smoke, where ever that maybe, has a lot of free radicals. If you are at home sitting by the fire you will inevitably breath in some of it, The smoke from your BBQ is toxic and contain free radicals, cars exhausts, factory chimneys, etc. all smoking free radicals. Because we live in such an industrial age, we inevitably breath a portion of that smoke with its free radicals.

In my next article I will lay out to you what does free radicals do inside our body to our cells, and why anti-oxidants are the only solution for that. Chronic diseases are chronic because it is not curable for 6 months or more. That means you did no t eat properly and exposed your body to toxic environment. It is that simple and that is why the solution is also very simple.

Treat Cold, Flu, and Ear Infection the Natural Way

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

With or without medication, the cold or the flu can give you real trouble. You can choose from a variety of medications that can give you some relief in symptoms or you can take the natural approach that may prevent, speed your recovery and help you to feel better along the way.

When is coming to children a cold or flu or other upper respiratory infection can also ends in an ear infection – acute otitis media – that appear in the space behind the eardrum, that is called the middle ear.

This is very common in children younger than age 8, as their immature ear can be easily infected. Their Eustachian tube (the tube that connects the throat and the middle ear) is shorter, softer and more horizontal which is more easily blocked by secretions than those of older children or adults. Also, very exposed could be infants because of their sucking habit. Always keep a breast or bottle feeding baby under an angle to prevent entering the liquid into theirs immature ear.

During a cold, throat infection, allergy or other upper respiratory infection, the Eustachian tube swells and prevents air from entering the middle ear, leading to allowing the secretions to enter to the middle ear and be trapped there. This leads to viruses and bacteria to grow and cause infection.

Using salt therapy you can prevent or reduce the symptoms in cold, flu or ear infection. If your baby has a stuffy nose and has difficulty breast- or bottle feeding or seems to be short of breath, the Salin device is the best. Using Salin during the night, while sleeps, your baby won’t wake you up because of the stuffy nose. He or she will be able to breathe normally, the inhaled saline will open the airways, will clean secretions and kill bacteria, reducing the duration of cold or flu and preventing an ear infection.

In the range of 0.1-2.5 microns – the same size as the most damaging micro particles from auto and industrial pollution, and invisible to the human eye — the micro particles of salt penetrate into every corner of the bronchi, bronchioles and alveoli and deposit upon the surface, cleaning secretions, killing microbes and bacteria, leading in turn to a reduction in inflammation. Acting as a mucokinetic, they restore the normal transport of mucus and unclog blockages in the bronchi and bronchioles and upper respiratory tract. The inhaled saline (NaCl) is hydrophilic, so it absorbs the edema from the mucosa lining the airway passages.

In the bronchial tree: Absorption of the inflammatory edema from the mucosa lining the bronchial tree, causing asthma, will be diminished, leading to widening of the airway passages. Also, it humidifies and fluidizes the bronchial secretions in the bronchial tree leading to the relief of the broncho- spasm assisting and improving the treatment of asthma.
In the nose and para-nasal sinuses, edema of the nasal mucosa, causing nasal obstruction, will be diminished, leading to widening of the airway passage in the nose and the tubes of the sinuses and improves the sinuses drainage.

In the auditory tube: Edema of the Eustachian tube mucosa, causing obstruction and otitis media, will be diminished, leading to widening of the airway passages, better drainage of the inflammatory secretions & better aeration behind the tympanic membrane (drum).

The hygiene of the respiratory tract has a very important place in treating an preventing a respiratory infection or ear infection. Here are some tips:

1. Use Salin device and Salt Pipe to clean all the respiratory tract.

2. Correctly blow your nose often – don’t blow your nose hardly as the pressure can carry secretions back into your ear passages. Press a finger over one nostril while you blow gently the other.

3. Clean your nose with saline solution: mix 1.25 g salt in 1 cup warm water (body temperature) or you can also add in half-half quantities salt and baking soda. Put few drops in every nostril.

4. Place an extra pillow under your head creating an angle. The best way is to place it under the mattress to create a smooth slope. This will help with nasal congestion and also prevent ear infection.
